It’s hard to tell which he loves more: his Hawaiian culture or fashion. But either way, Zamora is ready to take on Project Runway! Nicknamed “Kini” (the first two syllables of his first name), this designer’s road to the runway began with his childhood pastimes: sewing and sketching. Taking his childhood hobbies all the way into his college years, he earned a college degree in Fashion Technology from Honolulu Community College, and then went on to continue his fashion education at the Fashion Institute of Technology. To this day, he still loves to sketch, and has parlayed his love into the skill to produce 2 full collections under his label “KZ”. Prior to designing under his own label, Kini’s work history includes serving as a visual manager for PacSun and Wet Seal. Easy to find in his most favorite place in Hawaii, Zamora loves the beach in his down time. His favorite materials to work with include denim and poplin.
Why He’ll Win?
As the only contestant from Hawaii, Zamora will use his home state heritage, along with his creativity and talent to take him to the top.
